VEHICLE 1 [THE 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER DRIVEN BY LATIFA PHELPS] BEGAN TO SKID AND WENT OFF THE WEST SIDE OF THE ROADWAY, STRUCK THE GUARDRAIL, AND RETURNED TO THE ROADWAY. VEHICLE 1 [THE 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER DRIVEN BY LATIFA PHELPS] CAME TO REST ON ITS WHEELS IN THE DRIVING LANE FACING SOUTH. VEHICLE 2 [THE 2017 FORD ECONOLINE E 350 DRIVEN BY EDWARD STOCKTON] CAME TO A CONTROLLED STOP ON ITS WHEELS ON THE WEST SHOULDER FACING SOUTH. ASSISTED BY SGT. Injuries
Phelps's injuries were moderate. Phelps was taken by EMS to Mosaic Life Care.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Latifa Phelps was extensive. It was removed by Sauters. The damage to the 2017 Ford Econoline E 350 driven by Edward Stockton was minor.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
Trooper D W Jehnzen of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 180369232 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $5.75 for each certified report (certification required for court). But you can call 877-925-1969 to request a free copy of the report. The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report.
